LegalSearch was founded in 1998 by Mark Jacobson, an attorney who believed legal recruiting could be done differently.

After beginning his career as an associate in Big Law and later practicing at a boutique Manhattan firm, Mark experienced firsthand how transactional and impersonal the recruiting process could be. He saw an opportunity to create a firm grounded in judgment, discretion, and ethics. One that prioritized relationships over volume and long-term success over short-term placements.

Today, those principles continue to guide everything we do. We take a thoughtful, strategic approach to every search, providing attorneys and law firms with trusted advice, meaningful introductions, and a commitment to lasting fit.
