Founder
Mark Jacobson
Mark Jacobson founded LegalSearch, Inc. in 1998 after beginning his career as an associate in Big Law and later practicing at a boutique Manhattan firm. Having seen firsthand how legal recruiting was often handled, Mark wanted to create a search firm grounded in judgment, discretion, transparency, and ethics.
For more than 25 years, Mark has advised partners, practice groups, and law firms on significant lateral moves, group placements, mergers, and strategic office openings. He was one of the early recruiters to focus on partner-level movement as a sophisticated and highly personal part of the legal market, helping lawyers and firms navigate major career and business decisions with clarity and care.
Outside of work, Mark enjoys spending time with family and friends, writing, mastering bridge, and pretending he is good at golf.
